After the shutdown of both the Schultheiss Brewery years ago and the Berliner Kindl Brewery on Rollbergstrasse at the beginning of 2006, the "Brauhaus Südstern" is now the only brewery in Kreuzberg and around Hermannplatz.

Master Brewer Thorsten Schoppe brews each week, following a traditional, gentle brewing process.  This is how we offer fresh, unfiltered and natural beers that retain all of their vitamins, minerals, active yeast, and other vital substances.

Specialty beers such as Maerzen, Wheat, Fest, or Bock are available seasonally.

Our brewmaster regularly offers guided tours during which participants learn about beer, get an idea how to brew beer and have a tasting.
